Little Morning Program

Little Minds proposes an integral, dynamic, creative, and fun curriculum where children will be lead to acquire the essentials in the process of learning while learning the English language through immersion.

Early Childhood is the magic time when the brain learns language easier than any other time in life. Plus it sets your brain up to learn more languages in the future. Being multilingual has been proven to improve reading and writing development. Kids have extended attention spans and improved conflict resolution. Bilingual kids can expect increased analytical, social, and academic skills like math, science and creativity.

Our classes are conducted combining a developmental approach of play based learning with an academic approach that prepares our students for Kindergarten.

There is a strong link between play and learning. Children are full of natural curiosity and they explore this curiosity through play. When kids are playing, it's the perfect time to learn!

We integrate this play-based method with the academic method of learning areas and expectations making our program solid and complete. We base our program on the Creative Curriculum by Teaching Strategies.

Children who succeed in school and in life know how to find solutions to problems. They can communicate and work well with others. They are curious, creative thinkers, and they continue to learn and adapt. Our preschool programs will help your child build these skills.

The Creative Curriculum includes                                                                  developmentally appropriate goals and                                                        objectives for children within four main                                                          categories of interest: social/emotional,                                                        physical, cognitive and language.

The social/emotional stage helps promote independence, self-confidence and self-control. Within this stage, children learn how to make friends, how to have group interactions and how to follow rules.

The physical stage is intended to increase children’s fine and gross motor skills.

Communication

We believe that parent-teacher communication is crucial for our students’ development and growth. We enforce constant communication for the benefit of our children.

Discipline

At LITTLE MINDS, we believe in educating our young ones with plenty of love and care, which definitely requires discipline and structure to prepare them for the world we live in. It is our belief to point out positive conducts over negative ones to achieve with success their developmental growth and progress.

Hygiene

For us, the health and well being of our students is of extreme importance. That is why we enforce a strict and rigorous sanitizing routine of our installations as well as the constant hand washing of children and teachers. We use the RAINBOW Health System daily for deep cleaning and sanitization of our school environment.

School transport

We offer transportation to our students in specific areas. The bus is equipped with safety belts and our assistants will accompany children during their travel.

AGE GROUPS
TODDLERS - Children 12 months through 23 months (must walk on their own)

The cognitive stage is associated with thinking skills. Children learn how to solve problems, ask questions and think critically.

The language stage deals with communication. Children learn how to communicate with others, listen and participate in conversations, and recognize various forms of print. In this stage, children begin to recognize letters and words and begin writing for a purpose.

Through the development of all this basic stages we prepare our children for future scholar stages and real life.

In our Morning Program we have periodic visits to the Paitilla Park for some fun outdoor time!  Kids travel in our school bus with their teachers and teacher assistants. At the park we work on different sports and gross motor skills, as well as enjoy playing in the park playground.

Outdoor Fun
By having small groups of 10 to 15 children with two teachers per class, we make sure to offer the individual attention each child needs.
